New Workflow Engine: BPM in ALM

codeBeamer's workflow support just got even more powerful, offering Business Process Management (BPM) capabilities. It now lets you connect various processes across tools and projects, throughout the entire lifecycle. It also enables you to automate all kinds of sub-processes with ease. Starting with version 7.8, you can configure codeBeamer ALM to pull in data from emails, trigger the creation of artifacts, perform customizable actions, and even automatically create baselines if certain customizable conditions are met.

Safety-Critical Templates for Compliance

codeBeamer 7.8 comes with three new templates (available upon request) preconfigured to support the development processes & compliance audits of the most highly regulated industry sectors. Developing high quality software products for the Medical, Automotive, and Avionics industries is greatly facilitated by our preconfigured (but flexibly customizable) work items, processes, and fully controlled document storage functionality. Comprehensive documentation on relevant standards & regulations is also included in the templates:

• Intland's Automotive ISO 26262 Template
• Intland's Medical IEC 62304 Template
• Intland's Avionics DO-178C Template

All three templates offer gapless traceability, freely configurable processes, compliant validation support (e-signatures), and exportable reports to ensure the smooth running of compliance audits.

Test Management & Brand New Test Coverage Browser

You can now filter the Test Coverage Browser to display covered / not covered items, and to only display the coverage of a specific release or sprint, test set or test run. The Coverage Browser also offers statistics to provide a simple overview of all testing activities, and allows you to simply export all testing data to Word or Excel documents. codeBeamer's Jenkins integration supports performance and unit test plugins. Test steps can be reused from other test cases, and test sets can also be reused; test runs can now be better filtered. Overall, several performance and usability updates render the testing capabilities of codeBeamer 7.8 the strongest yet.

• Word import got a complete rework, and is now able to handle non well-formatted documents, tables in Word docs, and offers filtering abilities.
• Updated release dashboard can display & filter referenced work items and test runs (with burn down chart).
• You can now create baselines based on tracker or document folder.
