To request a license code, you must provide the HostID (sometimes known as the MAC address) of the computer on which you will install and run codeBeamer. The license code will enable the full feature sets.
To obtain the HostID a Windows machine, open a DOS shell (go to Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command prompt) and type:
ipconfig /all >win-license.txt
The ipconfig command will list the Windows IP configuration and the configuration of the network adapters.
To get the HostID on on a Linux system, enter in the terminal window the following command:
Please E-mail the win-license.txt or lin-license.txt file with this information together with your name and your complete company / university name to firstname.lastname@example.org and you will soon receive the license code.
Entering and Activating Licenses for codeBeamer
When you received your license code from Intland, you can enter and activate it with the following steps:
Login as CodeBeamer System Administrator (default bond/007)
Click System Admin tab
Click License link
Click Edit License
In the Edit License form, paste the code between --BEGIN CLIPBOARD COPY-- and --END CLIPBOARD COPY-- you received from Intland into the box
Click Next> and Save License
The new license is now activated. No server restart or operating system reboot is necessary.
