To upgrade to newer version than 21.09 (Emma), first upgrading to Emma is required.

codeBeamer Betty - General information

Test management now has built in support for formal test runs and as a result the test management workflow changed for new and existing test runs -- see the documentation at: <LINK TO BE ADDED HERE>
- In case you use custom project templates with test runs, please update them by executing the following migration script on them: Test Management Workflow Migration
- Please also review the tracker, state transition and status field permissions of your Test Run tracker to make sure that they are as you expect them to be
- Please note that field permissions are not fully supported by test management
- By default, the custom fields will not appear in the standard test case and test run exports. Customers are to define their own templates as they see them fit.
- Importing custom test step fields from excel is not supported
Restarting test runs are now possible without creating new test run(s) -- for more information about this optional feature, please see: Re-running a test run without creating a new one
Test steps now support custom fields (both at test cases and test runs)
- Consequently, the format of the Excel based test runs have changed
The attachment handling parameters of the Word exports have changed
- If attachments are included in the export they are linked to the document by default
- If embedding the attachments are enabled, all attachments are included into the document itself (as OLE objects)
- If expanding the attachments are enabled, supported file types (images, text files, etc.) are displayed within the document
The trace direction of the Risk Management functionality has been reversed -- for more details, see: Risk Management trace direction change
Importing complex (choice, reference, wiki text) table field values has general known issues, which affects importing custom test step fields as well
Advanced document export functionality is now available for template developers -- see the related documentation at: Advanced Word Export
- Previously created templates continues to work, however there are slight functionality changes that affect the previous behavior as well -- for further details see the documentation of the new functionality

General IE11 information

You may experience missing Icons after loading WYSIWYG Editor using IE11 on latest Windows 10 update, because of new technical Windows security settings. You can read more information about this fact here.

The custom test step fields improvement for test management is not available in SNAPSHOT1
Test management workflow changes only work with newly created trackers, due the the lack of migration in SNAPSHOT1
- Trackers created from a built in or external project template OR that was prior to the deployment of SNAPSHOT1 do not work at all
Risk management trace direction reverse is included, but existing trackers are not migrated at all due to the lack of migration in SNAPSHOT1
Certain document export template parameters are not yet supported by SNAPSHOT1 -- see the related documentation for further details
