Version highlights
- Enhanced document export capabilities
- Google Drive integration: Extend Drive for regulatory purposes
- Unlimited test step fields for flexibility in testing
- Better reporting via advanced Word templates
- Build intelligent forms with business logic for your workflows
Enhanced document export capabilities
Using this new feature lets you, for instance, create a report with the document’s complete approval history or the item’s upstream and downstream references and attach that report to the document when exporting. Using the report as the cover page for easy overview greatly simplifies regulatory submissions and supports collaboration within and across teams.
Google Drive integration: Extend Drive for regulatory purposes
For enhanced collaboration, codebeamer X now connects to Google’s massively popular file storage and synchronization service! This integration extends Drive for regulatory purposes: codebeamer X adds workflow capabilities to enable you to review, approve, e-sign, publish, or baseline documents stored and edited on Google Drive. Using the ‘Edit in Cloud’ feature, you can easily edit documents stored in codebeamer X using Google’s editors (Docs, Sheets, or Slides).
By connecting cbX and Drive, you can use the two systems effectively in regulated projects. codebeamer X adds meta data to Drive documents, providing attributes such as status, business value, and others. Use Google’s editor to collaboratively author, edit, comment, and share cbX documents with a single click – and maintain transparency as you do it!
Unlimited test step fields for flexibility in testing
This new feature provides improved flexibility and granularity when executing testing with codebeamer X. Custom Test Steps fields let you define an unlimited number of additional test step properties when defining or executing test cases. Already used and loved by codebeamer users, this is a handy feature. For example, you can now simply add dedicated evidence fields for users to upload test result evidence during test runs.
Better reporting via advanced Word templates
Creating reports in codebeamer X just got easier with cBQL Word templates! You can now use codebeamer’s proprietary cbQL query language to simply generate custom reports that you’ll be able to use in MS Word templates. In addition to items, documents can now be exported using templates as well.
Another feature already known by codebeamer users, the ‘Hide If’ formula is now available in codebeamer X! ‘Hide If’ lets you integrate business logic into your forms, providing a better and simpler user experience by hiding irrelevant fields.
Using ‘Hide If’, you can very simply set custom conditions to show or hide fields (attributes) on your forms. This contributes to a clean, simple, easy-to-overview interface for the user.
