Better usability, new look & feel
With codebeamer X 4.0, we drew on Google’s Material Design concept which helped create a consistent visual language for all of their products. In this latest version, we followed these Material Design specifications to create a more intuitive user experience and an even more beautiful UI!
In addition to a general revamp of how codebeamer X looks and feels, we’ve updated how editing and saving works. This provides enhanced stability and usability, and overall a better indication of the saving progress and outcome.
To provide quick access to work item-related actions, we’ve added an item context menu to the List and Document views. Finding the functionality you’re looking for has become easier than ever! The Document View also received a facelift, providing a simple Word-like overview of hierarchies.
For a smoother user experience, we’ve unified how primary and secondary buttons work system-wide, placing the functions you need at your fingertips. A number of further UI updates have been added to enable more efficient work and better usability!
Seamless collaboration: Microsoft OneDrive integration
Complementing our existing integration with Google Drive, codebeamer X’s new integration with MS OneDrive supports smooth collaboration both internally and with 3rd parties! You can now simply edit existing Office documents in the cloud using OneDrive. Upload or create documents through OneDrive to make sure all relevant stakeholders can access data swiftly and conveniently. What’s more, project admins have received powerful tools to unlock documents for editing, and to manage authentication right from the UI.
Updated ReqIF export/import
For those working with the Requirements Interchange Format (ReqIF), codebeamer X 4.0 offers a range of enhancements. For the better mapping of relations, fields, and options, the ReqIF import dialog now enables more granular settings. When working with large volumes of testing artifacts, you can simply select which test cases to export to ReqIF, saving you valuable time and making the export process easier.
Simplified regulatory audits: PDF document merging
codebeamer X 4.0 greatly reduces the burden of preparing regulatory submissions for audits. By letting you merge PDF documents for exporting, you can simply attach a document’s approval history to the document itself – then export them together, along with the approver’s name, role, signature, and timestap. This feature also makes it easy to merge multiple PDF reports in one document, making your job easier during regulatory submissions!
