Mass review of selected items

In CB-21.09 and newer, you can not only review individual items, but you can review a batch of multiple selected items at once, if

  • Tracker item review is enabled in System Admin → Application Configuration:
      "review" : {
         "hideTrackerItemReview" : false
       }

  • and you have the Tracker - Mass Edit/Review permission on the tracker.

Select items to review

E.g.:

Selected items,

  • where no item review is currently in progress, or
  • where you are not a registered reviewer,
will be silently ignored.

If there are no remaining items, that can be reviewed by you, you will get an error message.

Otherwise the dialog to enter your vote will be shown.

Vote on the selected items

E.g.:

After

  • specifying your Role (only if required in the review configuration)
  • and entering an optional Rationale for you decision,
you can Approve or Reject all of the the selected items at once.

If configured, you may also need to authenticate.

Provide values for missing mandatory fields

Only

  • if there are items, where your vote is decisive
  • and there is a state transition associated with that decision
  • and there are empty mandatory fields in the resulting target item status,
you will be prompted to provide values for the empty mandatory fields.

E.g.

In order to continue, you need to enter/select and Save values for all mandatory fields.

Please note:

Cancel in this stage will abort the mass review:
  • No vote will be counted,
  • nor are the mandatory fields applied
  • nor the item status changed!

Evaluate mass review result

If all item reviews were successful, you will simply get an information message:

But if some item reviews failed, you will get detailed information about the failed item reviews:

The list of Failed reviews provides information about the

  • item review Result including Votes
  • and the follow up Status update (if any).

If the Status update failed, you may try to execute it manually.
