Observed on

  • codebeamer

Solution

Standard Daily Logs

  1. Reproduce the problem
  2. Gather the timestamp
  3. With a user belonging to System Administrator's User Group, go to My Start tab ► System AdminServer Status Dashboard
  4. Expand the Download logs menu ► click on [Export daily logs]
  5. Include the generated cb-info-<date>-server-daily.zip file and the timestamp from step #2 to the Support ticket.

Enhanced Daily Logs

Verbose logging may severely degrade the server performance. To minimize the impact, proceed with the below steps only during periods of low server usage. Refer to Monitoring, Logging & Profiling for more information.
  1. With a user belonging to System Administrator's User Group, go to My Start tab ► System AdminLogging Configuration
  2. In the Logging changes text box, enter log4j.logger.com.intland.codebeamer=DEBUG and then click on [Apply]
  3. Take note of the previous working level, in order to restore it later. By default, this is OFF:
  4. Reproduce the problem
  5. Gather the timestamp
  6. Revert the logging level back to normal: log4j.logger.com.intland.codebeamer=OFF (or any value set before step #2)
  7. With a user belonging to System Administrator's User Group, go to My Start tab ► System AdminServer Status Dashboard
  8. Expand the Download logs menu ► click on [Export daily logs]:
  9. Include the generated cb-info-<date>-server-daily.zip file and the timestamp from step #5 to the Support ticket.
