General Information - codebeamer 22.10-LTS (Gina)

The codename for You must login to see this link. Register now, if you have no user account yet. is Gina. For further information on release codenames, see Codebeamer Release Codenames. Before upgrading to 22.10-LTS, consider the following recommendations:

• Run the upgrade procedure during the weekend, because the procedure takes several hours.
• Create a database dump of the existing database.
• Check existing projects and processes in a test environment before production rollout.
• Provide more than 16 GB memory for Java process if the given instance has more than 4000 trackers.

Important Technical Changes

• Existing Tracker inheritance completely refactored to achieve overall performance results.
• 22.10-LTS version is the last that is optimized for MySQL. Consider changing to the supported PostgreSQL or Oracle.
• Upgraded frontend libraries to the latest versions (JQuery, JQuery UI, jsTree, Froala editor).
• 22.10-LTS version does not support JIRA v9.x version.

Important Usability Changes

Improved Coverage Browser

• New user interface is introduced with extended filtering options.
• New preset function is introduced.
• Note that there is no backward compatibility for permanent links, filters must be recreated and saved as a preset.

Refactored Test Step Reuse Function

• Test step reuse does not create associations between tracker items anymore.

Modified test step fields in test cases trackers might block the upgrade procedure. Read the Check Test Step Reuse at Codebeamer Upgrade wiki to learn how to mitigate the possible upgrade problems, and consult with the Support Team for more information.

Review Hub

• The Review Hub no longer notifies the user of item changes on an item status change page during the review finalization process.

ReqIF Export

• When loading a ReqIF export configuration that contains tracker views, the export is performed according to the current state of the selected view, instead of the state of the view when the export configuration has been saved.
