How to Add the 'New Folder' Option to the Menu Displayed when Right-Clicking on an Item in the Tree section In Document View

Issue Description

When right-clicking on an item in the left tree section in Document View, the New Folder option may not be available in the displayed menu.

Solution

  1. Go to Tracker Configuration > Fields tab
  2. Click Type - Field Access
  3. In the Default Settings section, give Edit permission to the relevant role(s) which the creation of new folders you want to enable for.

Result

Having the access settings updated, the New Folder option is available in the menu displayed when right-clicking on an item.
