Known issues of Word Export - CB 9.4

Table of content in PDF format

When "Convert to PDF" option is selected on the export dialog then resulting export document is converted from docx to pdf format. Then user will receive export document in pdf format. Table Of Content is not update-able in pdf format because this feature is only available in Word. Following message will remain in the export document:

From codeBeamer 9.5 export document will not contain table of content if "Convert to PDF" option is selected.

Known issues in Word Export - CB 9.3

Document Author

Author of document is not set automatically. Exported document will have same "Author" as the template document. Also "Last Modified By" property is not set automatically.

This issue has been fixed in codeBeamer version 9.4 with automatically filling these two properties with generator codeBeamer user.

Workaround for codeBeamer version 9.3:

Please set "Author" of document manually after export finished. You can find it in MS Word at File / Info / Related People. Then be sure to save the document.

"Last Modified By" property will be set by Word upon save by filling the logged in system user.

Localized headings

When a standard template is modified and saved in a non-english version of Word then headings are replaced to the localized version.

Word export is not compatible with these localized headings as the id-s are changing among these versions.

In codeBeamer version 9.4 this issue has been fixed by using heading names instead of heading id-s.

Workaround for codeBeamer version 9.3:

Find someone who has english version of MS Word, open modified template for editing, then "save as".
