Export, Import and Obfuscate Data

In some cases it can be important or required to provide data to Codebeamer support to analyse customer data dependent technical incidents.

Note: PTC will not assume responsibility for the security and protection of sensitive customer data received in an unencrypted format. Any non-obfuscated data shared with Codebeamer Technical Support will be deleted immediately. Codebeamer Technical Support team will only accept and analyze obfuscated data from customers.

The following pages describe how data can be provided.

The exported database dumps can be attached to Work Items in Codebeamer, or sent through PTC Software's SFPT server. For more information, see: How to use Codebeamer SFTP server.

Use the appropriate script according to the database provider.

obfuscate_data_oracle.sql for Oracle
obfuscate_data_mysql.sql for MySQL
obfuscate_data_postgres.sql for PostgreSQL
