System Requirements

This page describes the hardware and software requirements of codeBeamer 7.7.1. For general requirements please refer to the wiki titled System Requirements.

Operating Systems

Windows, Linux and Mac-OS on 64-bit x86 architectures with at least 2 GB memory. 32-bit systems are no longer supported.

The amount of required memory depends on the number of concurrent users and the data on the system.

Virtual Systems

codeBeamer 7.7.1 is tested with VMware ESX-4.1 and ESX-5.5 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2).

Supported Java Runtime Environment (JRE)

Supported Databases

MySql	5.5.40 or higher and 5.6.21.1 or higher (older MySql versions are not supported). MySql-5.7.x is currently not supported.	tested with 5.5.38-0 (Linux), 5.5.40 (Linux, Mac-OS and Windows) and 5.6.21.1 (on Windows)
Oracle	11.2.0.1, 11.2.0.2, 12.1.0.2.0	tested with 11.2.0.1, 12.1.0.2.0
Derby (only for evaluation)	10.4.2.0	tested 10.4.2.0

Supported Browsers

In all browsers JavaScript must be enabled to use the full functionality of codeBeamer.

codeBeamer 7.x does not support Internet Explorer 7 (or older)!

WebDav

Basic Authentication is no longer supported only Digest Authentication is enabled for WebDav from codeBeamer 7.7.1.
