REST API - Server Returns Error 429 - Too Many Requests When Calling the REST API Endpoints

Description

When working with the REST API endpoints, the server may return "Error 429 - Too Many Requests" instead of processing the request.

Observed on

codebeamer 21.09-LTS+

Solution

In Application Configuration, modify the API Throttling settings by either:

Tuning the bandwidthConfigs values. For reference, the default values are at the Default value section.
Or
Disabling the API Throttling feature, as explained at How to disable API throttling.

Additional Information

API Throttling is a feature introduced from codebeamer version 21.09+ (Emma) to prevent the degradation of system performance by limiting the excess usage of REST API endpoints.
