General information for codeBeamer 9.3.0

general.xml support is removed starting from 9.3.0, configuration values are converted during the upgrading procedure and System administrators can manage it using the Application configuration menu.
MySQL 5.6 is no longer supported anymore.
- MySQL 8.0 is still not supported.
Apache Tomcat was upgraded to the latest 8.5.x series.
Highcharts was upgraded to 6.1.2.
codeBeamer High Availability is supported with OpenShift.
- OAuth2 SSO support: OpenID Connect (OAuth2).
Only TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.2 SSL certifications will be accepted by Tomcat because of Security reasons.
BitBucket 5.5.8 is now supported as external Repository. Configure bitbucket.org webhook.
Using External Repositories, when a Change Set is committed by a non-real codeBeamer user member those will be aggregated into SCM as Statistics using built in system user.
Add attachment permission is removed, Users with Add Comment permission can Add Attachments as well.
mxGraph diagram image export depends on Phantom JS to render images, please make sure Phantom JS is installed properly.

Deprecation

Moskito Monitoring was replaced by built in codeBeamer Monitoring solution. Moskito Monitoring no longer supported.

System Requirements

This page describes the hardware and software requirements of codeBeamer 9.3.x. For general requirements, please refer to the wiki page titled System Requirements.

Operating Systems

Windows, Linux and Mac-OS on 64-bit x86 architectures with at least 8 GB memory. 32-bit operating systems are no longer supported.

The amount of memory required depends on the number of concurrent users, and the data in the system.

Virtual Systems

codeBeamer 9.3.x versions are tested with VMware ESXi 5.0, ESX 6.5.0, ESX 6.7.0 and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2).

Docker

Docker image is changed, please note the following changes

centos 7.6.1810 is used as a base image
additional environment variables are added
hosted SCMs are removed from the image
codeBeamer is available on http://localhost/ without /cb

Docker image is tested with 18.06.1-ce version of Docker

Docker with OpenShift

Docker and OpenShift configurations are automatic, please follow the installation instructions.

codeBeamer 9.3.x versions are tested with OpenShift (OKD 3.11) on AWS instances

codeBeamer is shipped and tested with Apache Tomcat 8.5.37. The windows-based installer has the tomcat application server already included.

It is recommended to upgrade to Apache Tomcat 8.5.37 version because of http://tomcat.apache.org/security-8.html

There are known problems with Office 365 in this version are not supported.
Office edit / Webdav have problems with Office 365 additionally Mac Office 2016 does not work with Office edit.
